Premier Brian Pallister recently announced the Basketball Manitoba plate, the province's newest specialty licence plate, which will be available to purchase effective March 20, 2017.
Higher Third Party Liability limits for Manitoban drivers
Effective March 1, 2017, Manitobans will be able to purchase $7 and $10 million liability coverage options to supplement the $1 million, $2 million and $5 million coverage options already available for most vehicles. These increased limits of liability will be available to all customers regardless of their renewal or re-assessment date.

Short term rental and home share networks such as Airbnb, HomeAway and Flipkey provide property owners, interested in renting their dwelling, an online community marketplace that connects them with travellers looking for accommodations to rent. These networks offer access to worldwide accommodations in family homes, condos, summer homes and cabins where the property owner may or may not be in the dwelling during the stay. Guests reportedly experience a home-away-from-home feel that they may not get while checked into a hotel.

According to Statistics Canada, Canadian retailers sold $3.83 Billion in gifts of jewellery and watches in 2014 and 6% of those sales were made online. By 2019, Canadian online purchases are expected to increase to 10%.
Province of Manitoba Announces Paramedic License Plates
The Province of Manitoba recently announced the release of new Paramedic License Plates to highlight the accomplishments and contributions of paramedics as a vital component of Manitoba’s health care system. These license plates will be available to currently active or retired paramedics, including either those paid on-call or volunteer, as well as immediate family (spouses, common-law partners, dependents and parents) of current, retired or fallen EMS providers.
