University of Winnipeg License Plates coming to Manitoba Next Week

Published by TeamInsuranceBrokers on June 02 2014

If it hasn’t been interesting enough for you on the road lately, there’s another set of license plates to be entering our streets soon! The Province of Manitoba has announced today that new University of Winnipeg specialty license plates will be available to students, parents, alumni, faculty and staff members beginning June 9, 2014. The University of Winnipeg has been one of our countries leading post-secondary institutions, with more than 10,000 international, undergrad and graduate students.

The cost for specialty license plates in Manitoba is $70, with $30 of that fee being returned to a charity supported by the organization. In the case of the U of W plates, charitable dollars will be put toward scholarships for U of W athletes and inner-city youth sports programming.

These plates will join the likes of other member-based license plates in Manitoba including Amateur Radio Operators, Firefighter and Veteran Plates. The assortment of specialty license plates available to the general public include: Curl Manitoba, Fish Futures (trailers), Winnipeg Blue Bombers, Winnipeg Goldeyes, Winnipeg Jets, Brandon Wheat Kings, Winnipeg Humane Society.

Please contact Our Team to find out how you can get your hands on a pair of these or other specialty plates.
