Thursday, July 19, 2018 was a beautiful day at the Bel Acres Golf and Country Club for the The 13th Annual Henry Derksen Memorial Classic.

As in previous years, Team Insurance Brokers was a proud sponsor of this Texas scramble style tournament held in support of The ALS Society of Manitoba and in memory of Garry Fast’s uncle, Henry Derksen who died of the disease.  Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease or Motor Neuron Disease (MND) is a fatal, rapidly progressive neuromuscular disease that affects approximately 3,000 Canadians and more than 350 Manitobans.

Team'ers Susan Fast and Dawn Colquhoun greeted golfers at hole #3 with delicious rhubarb, cherry and apple platz prepared by The Crusty Bun at their new location on Headmaster Row in North Kildonan.  Participants were also invited to enter a contest for a $100 WOW Hospitality gift certificate.
